I am currently a high school student planning on going to college for a fine arts major, and I have to say that these pens are incredible especially for the price. They are very high quality and make such nice lines in my illustrations that that they deserve to be placed on a pedestal and worshipped. They’re that good.

We can’t figure out how to make it work! I followed the installation steps (Windows Vista) and it says a driver is missing.

This scanner is defective. It does not work at all. Driver software for MAC does not recognize scanner and repeated downloads of updated driver software from the internet made no difference. After soliciting help from a professional computer consultant who experienced the same result, I am convinced this device is a “lemon”. Further, I feel I was severely misled by the reviews highlighted on the official Canon website describing the scanner. In addition, when I called the telephone no. noted on the printed materials, the automated answering system said, “Goodbye!”, and then hung up. When I found the customer support telephone no. (ATT directory), I called at least 50 times day and night only to receive a constant “busy” signal for my efforts. This is my first Amazon purchase. What a disappointment. Obviously, I am going to return it and will no longer consider purchasing Canon products. You made me rate this item in order to send the review–it does not even rate the 1 “star” that I was forced to give it. I was on vacation when scanner arrived and unpacked it ten days ago.

I must have gotten a defective one because it would not come to a good focus. The earlier model I wanted to replace did just fine, and I was using the same control software, so I assume it was a manufacturing defect. Too bad because I liked the speed and compactness. Fortunately Amazon let me return it immediately for refund.
